从本单元的主题When is your birthday？就可以得知，本单元的学习目标是学会询问和回答日期。第一课时的任务是学会问题的构成，会应答，正确运用序数词表达日期，记忆月份的英文名称，对本话题进行听说训练。大量的反复练习能够帮助学生突击记忆词汇，但是学生需要在大量的听说活动中巩固语言知识，加深印象。
