Unit one
1.go across 穿过
eg：Be careful when you go across the road.当你横过马路时要小心。
excuse me    表示“对不起，劳驾”。主要用于请别人帮忙或打扰别人时，是表示客套的话。
sorry    “遗憾的；对不起的，抱歉的”。主要用于自己犯了某种错误道歉，也可用于表示不同意或委婉拒绝。

2.opposite  prep.在……的对面
eg：I live opposite the bank.我住在银行对面。
 

3.take v.搭乘；乘坐
eg：You can take a taxi to the zoo. 你可以乘坐出租车去动物园。
 
eg：You can take a taxi to the museum.＝You can go to the museum by taxi.
        你可以坐出租车去博物馆。

Unit two
1.famous adj.著名的
eg：Liu Huan is a famous singer.刘欢是一位著名的歌手。
be famous for    “因为……而出名”。后跟出名的原因    China is famous for the Great Wall.中国因为长城而出名。
be famous as    “作为……而出名”。后跟职业等。    Liu Yang is famous as an astronaut.刘洋作为一名宇航员而出名。
2.above prep.在……之上
eg：There is a picture above the bookshelf.在书架上方有一幅画。
辨析above, over与on
above    “在……之上”，位置上高于，两者不接触，且不一定是正上方,反义词是below。    The plane is flying above the clouds.飞机正在云上面飞行。
over    “在……之上”，多指垂直高于，两者不接触，反义词为under。    There is a bridge over the river. 河上有座桥。
on    “在……上面”，两者表面接触。    There is a pencil on the desk.书桌上有支铅笔。

3.the best way to do sth.做某事的最好方法
eg：This is the best way to learn English.这是学英语的最好方法。
eg: The farmers thought of the best way to protect their crops.农民们想出了保护庄稼的最好办法。

4.next to在……近旁
eg：There is a river next to my home.在我家近旁有一条河。
辨析 next to与near
near    表示“在……的附近”。    Peter sits near Tom.彼得在汤姆附近坐着。
next to    表示“紧挨着”。    Peter sits next to Tom.彼得紧挨着汤姆坐着。

5.finish  v.结束，完成
eg：The teaching day finishes at around 4 pm.一天的教学在下午4点左右结束。
eg：I finished reading the book yesterday.昨天我把那本书看完了。

知识点三：语法归纳：介词
介词又称为前置词，它不能单独作句子的成分，必须与名词、代词或相当于名词的其他结构构成介词短语才能充当句子成分。表示位置关系的介词叫方位介词。
in    “在……里面”。表示在大地方的内部。    There is a pen in the box.
at     “在……”，一般用于较小的、较具体的地点。    You can get off the bus at the next stop.
on    表示“在……上面”，两者相互接触。    There is a book on the desk.
under    表示“在……的下面”，但两者不接触。    My pet cat is under my chair.
behind    表示“在……的后面”。    Lingling sits behind me.
in front of    表示“在……(外部)的前面”。    There is a small tree in front of the classroom.
next to    表示“在……近旁”。    The bank is next to the library.
on the left/ right    表示“在左/右边”。    The hospital is on the left/right.
between    表示“在……之间”，指在两者之间。    Our school is between the bank and the cinema.
above    表示“在……上方”。    A bird is flying above us.
opposite    表示“在…… 的对面”。    The bank is opposite the supermarket.
on the corner of    表示“在……拐角处”。    The shop is on the corner of the street.
